    Galland was my great great uncle and there isn't much I know about him as a person. Nice to hear his voice and listen to his experiences, as I never met him myself.

    Adolf Galland wasn't easy at all. Ripped to shreds in public, then apologized to in private, he stood his ground and refused to wear his bravery medal in protest.

    I remember as a kid in the early 1970's meeting my great-aunt's father, he fought in this war...he was born in 1880,...and i met a WW-1 vet around 1973, born late 1890's.....pretty cool looking back.

    Best I ever saw was Mays. Mickey might have been slightly better offensively from 55 to 61 but drank too much and fell to injuries. Mays was all you could ask for.

    One Eyed Jacks is a great western, beautiful western, and a lot of people missed it. Malden and Brando are both epic actors and One Eyed Jacks is among the best performances either have done. They worked well together too. The rest of the players delivered their best as well. Among my top five westerns.

      There are even interviews with Civil War veterans from the 1950s.
